Climate change and our dependence on fossil fuels require new energy solutions. Reducing energy consumption is the first important measure, but we also need new forms of energy production. We need to be able to satisfy a significant part of our future energy needs by sustainable renewable energy.
VG-Ecofuel’s bio-oil plant works in close cooperation with a neighbouring biogas plant. The energy we use in our process comes from the biogas plant, whereas the waste generated in our production can in turn be used as raw material for the biogas production.
We use the biofuel on Meriaura’s ships to replace fossil fuels, which significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
